I’m Young — a freelance 2D Motion Designer based in Southern California.
I make videos that help businesses explain what they do, how their product works or educate their audience. That often includes designing animations, editing videos and images, curating background music, voiceovers, and scripts.
I didn’t come through the traditional design school path. I started in finance, then worked in kitchen and bath design — very different industries, but both taught me how to listen closely, ask the right questions, and guide clients from vague ideas to a clear direction, then shape that into something visual and concrete.
That mindset still guides how I work today. Whether it’s for a product launch or a social media post, I help clients bring their message to life through video with clarity and purpose. I like to be involved from start to finish because everything in a video—script, visuals, pacing, and music—should work together to tell a clear story. I ask a lot of questions upfront to understand what the client really needs, and guide the process step by step: sharing moodboards, rough frames, and frequent updates to make sure we’re on the same page.
Originally from South Korea, I’ve called the U.S. home for over 20 years. I live with my patient husband, and a disobedient (but adorable) husky. When I’m not working, I make Christian meditation videos, snowboard in the winter, walk the beach year-round, and try to keep up with my workout goals.
