I’m Young, a Motion Designer based in Southern California.
I design motion across product and marketing, translating complex ideas into clear, structured visual systems. My work treats motion as a communication tool, not decoration. I focus on:
• clear hierarchy and information flow
• controlled pacing and consistent behavior
• designing within real constraints: time, scope, evolving requirements, and brand systems
I’m comfortable leading projects end-to-end, from early concept through final delivery. I bring a structured, decision-driven process to each project: define the message, reduce complexity, design the motion logic, and iterate until motion feels clear, responsive, and consistent across states.
My background spans finance and physical-space design. Those experiences trained me to listen closely, ask precise questions, and turn ambiguity into clear direction. That problem-solving mindset shapes how I approach motion today: purposeful, structured, and outcome-focused.
Originally from South Korea, I’ve lived in the U.S. for over 20 years. Outside of work, I enjoy strength training, snowboarding, and time with my husband.
If you’re building a product or brand story that needs clarity, I’d love to connect.
